Complete consumption by microorganism and return to compounds found in nature. If you throw an EcoPhase product on the ground, it will degrade into natural compounds and disappear into the soil in 30-60 days.
Composting is breaking down of organic material by bacteria, yeasts and fungi into healthy, fertile soil. EcoPhase products break down in this manner and therefor are compostable.
Ecophase products are manufactured by moulding of plant extract or residue into the desired shape and sizes.
The heat induced pressing gives structural strength to the product and the inter-fiber bonding gives it water and oil resistance.
Ecophase has only one ingredient - biomass pulp of plant origin. It has no binders, additives, coatings or fillers.

Biomass products have an estimated shelf life of two years. Products should be stored in a cool dry area to achieve maximum life expectancy.
EcoPhase products can be used to serve both hot and cold food items. They can be used in a microwave oven and refrigerator. The sustainable temperature range is not lower than -20°C and not higher than +140°C.
Plastic and Styrofoam are non-biodegradable petroleum derived products. They stay in the environment for hundred to thousands of years and leak toxic substances into the groundwater. Polystyrene (Styrofoam base) has been identified as a possible human carcinogen.
Most disposable paper products are made from virgin wood fiber, which depletes natural forests. In comparison, biomass is a readily renewable resource and widely grown all over the world.
